Our Weekend

To be quite honest, our weekend was very quiet and kind of boring. The cold and snow really makes me want to hibernate, organize, and re-do everything in my house.

Friday night we stayed in and hosted a friend for dinner, which was really nice. Sometimes on a Friday it’s great to lay low after a long week.

Saturday the kids were SO pumped to wake up to snow! Luckily it was above 20 degrees so they were able to spend some time in the fresh air. I think they needed it (and mom needed them out of the house, ha!)

Vivi and I ditched the boys to run some errands. I scored these Vans for around $25 at Off Broadway during their BOGO half off sale. I am really excited to style these going into spring.

I also spent some time searching for inspiration. Here are a few of my faves (unfortunately I am not able to credit these amazing women! Pinterest can be so frustrating sometimes!)

Saturday night we took the kids to Port Fond who was participating in restaurant week. We ate SO much food, and it was amazing. We had 4 courses for $33/person. Their new grilled corn and classic shisito peppers are always a must. I tried the mushroom enchiladas which were insanely good; totally unexpected!

My drink of choice now at Port Fonda is a Paloma which is a mix of Tequila, Lime Juice and Grapefruit Juice soda. I always get it with Don Julio Blanco and salt on the rim. Ugh, my mouth is watering thinking about it!

Sunday was spent at Basketball and brunching at the new Hogshead on the plaza (which is really good by the way!) We had the classic breakfast which comes with 2 eggs, toast, bacon (out of this world, thick cut) and a bed of home made hashbrowns with spicy sausage. It is so new, there is not usually a wait and they open at 10 on Sundays!

I also had an exciting business meeting for a collaboration with a local jewelry designer. You guys know how much I love jewelry, so this was very exciting for me to help design a piece! I can’t wait to show you what we come up with!

Thank you to all of you who weighed in on my instagram in regards to my front hallway rug. This was just a temporary, inexpensive rug from Home Goods. I am going to order a few, take some pics and get your opinion in the next few weeks!

Outfits from the weekend:

vintage fur bomber: Dear Society, Sweater (old Madewell), Shoes: Dolce Vita, Jeans: 7FAM

Sherpa Sweatshirt: Gap, Leggings by Athleta last season (not the same, but these are cute too!), Sorel Boots

Stay warm this week everyone; tomorrow looks brutal! Hoping (praying) the kids go back to school tomorrow!!!!!!!!
