Western Influence

Living in the midwest, I already see cowboy boots and western style dress on the regular. But, would you believe those trends are making it into high fashion this year? On the runways, I have seen everything from true Cowboy Boots at Fendi and Dolce and Gabbana, to silk bandanas and western shirts at Veronica Beard, to ruffled skirts and western inspired fabrics at Isabel Marant.

We are seeing small doses of this trend for Spring, but for Fall it will be full on western influence!

I fell in love with this ruffle front skirt at Lady Bye. It is almost identical to a skirt from a high end designer on Shopbop that retails for close to $300. This skirt, from Lady Bye is fashion on a budget at only $50.

Lady Bye also had this amazing loose knit tank that matched the skirt perfectly. I layered it with a nude tank underneath and threw on a denim jacket for arm coverage during the cooler months. The skirt and the top are so well priced, you can get this entire look for around $100!

I do LOVE a bandana. Madewell has some great ones this season. It is the perfect way to add a touch of western to your outfit, without trying too hard! To complete the look I also layered the Sierra Winter Jewelry Astra necklace.
