Vintage Love

I have always had an appreciation for vintage clothing, I just never had the time to really search for them. What I love about vintage is the quality. Things were made different back then; nothing was mass produced like it is today. You can find some incredible pieces if you have the time to frequent thrift stores or estate sales…or you can just shop at Dear Society where they do the work for you!

My friend Amy first introduced me to Dear Society about a year ago. It is at 35th/Broadway, and it is a darling boutique filled with old, and new. Clothing, accessories and home decor. I don’t think I have ever walked out of there without buying something!

In the Spring I tried on this dress, and I left empty handed. I had snapped a photo of myself in it, and after a few nights of sleeping on it (and dreaming about it) I knew I had to buy it! Β It was cool enough in KC to finally wear the dress out for Amy’s birthday this weekend. It fits like a glove and I love the interesting green suede color. The label in it says it was made in Los Angeles, I am guessing this has to be from the 60’s or 70’s (Mom, your decade!) I think this will be amazing going into fall as well!Β
