Style Scout Travels: Kohler, Wiscosin

We traveled to Wisconsin this weekend to celebrate the wedding of our friends, Jerry and Haley. The wedding was set to be at the American Club is located in Kohler, Wisconsin an hour from the Milwaukee airport. Kohler itself is the home of the kitchen and bath company, and also nestled in this small town is the gorgeous American Club Resort. Known for their golf courses and spa, this resort is quite a destination for many people in the midwest and beyond. This hidden gem has been high on my list to visit for many years, so I was excited when we had a reason to go!

The resort is tiny and charming; you feel like you are transported back in time.

The bride and groom stayed at the exclusive “River Bend” portion of the resort. It is members only and it is BEYOND; very “great gatsby”. It is a large mansion with 30 rooms that used to belong to the Kohler Family. It has it’s own pool, restaurants, workout room and spa. I am so glad we got to visit them and check it out…the pics can’t fully capture how beautiful this estate truly is.

Friday night was the welcome party at Whistling Straits golf course. The views from this course are incredible; as it sits on Lake Michigan.Β

The party was held in this barn, which was absolutely stunning inside and out

pics don’t do it justice! The decor was magical…

Saturday afternoon we went to the Kohler Design Center. I was blown away by the beautiful designer showrooms they put together. This bathroom was one of my favorites! Kohler also owns Baker furniture (one of my high-end favorites), and they also have an amazing showroom/outlet store in Kohler.

This massive feature wall lines the back and sides of the design center. Toilets, Sinks and bathtubs on repeat πŸ™‚

We also visited the world renowned Kohler Spa, which was right next to the hotel. We both had a massage and it may have been the best massage to date. They have wonderful hot and cold plunge pools, and areas to relax. If you can ever get yourself to Kohler, I highly recommend it!

Saturday night we celebrated the bride and groom at the American Club. The ceremony was outside in the courtyard of the hotel. With the birds chirping, on a lovelyΒ summer evening; it was picture perfect. The invite said black tie, so we obliged! It was fun to see all the guests so dressed up.

I got this dress for an absolute STEAL at BCBG. I paid $80 (down from $368) but you can get it online for even less! It is now $109 and an additional 40% off. I am wearing a size 2. It is not great if you are large busted, the chest is pretty small. But it has a gorgeous fit, fully lined and has a small train in the back. I can’t wait to wear it again!

And my handsome husband wore a gorgeous navy Velvet smoking jacket from Suit Supply

I have never seen a more gorgeous bride in my entire life! I am still gushing over this dress; it was spectacular. I love that she wore sleeves, it was so incredibly elegant!

congrats to Jerry and Haley! We had a blast celebrating you both this weekend!
