Spring Makeup Tutorial with Blair Berndes

Last week I shared some of my favorite products for a very natural, out the door in minutes look. This week I am bringing to you a full makeup tutorial from start to finish with the uber talented Blair Berndes. Blair is my eyebrow girl here in California; but she also happens to be an incredible makeup artist. She does all of Alli Webb (founder of Dry Bar) makeup for shoots and t.v. segments. She is REALLY good. You can follow her on instagram @blairberndesmakeup

Blair wanted to show a monochromatic look, which is very on trend this season. This is using pretty much the same color palette from your eyes to your cheeks to your lips. It leaves you with a really stunning, glowing look that could take you to from a daytime event or luncheon, to date night or a girls night out. This would also be GORGEOUS bride makeup, because it is a step up from everyday but not too heavy! My daughter was so funny when I picked her up from school. She said “Mom, your makeup is so beautiful, I can’t stop looking at you”. Ha! If Vivi approves, you know it is good 🙂

here are a few shots start to finish. It never ceases to amaze me how much makeup can transform your look!!!

and a few closeup shots. I took these in selfie mode with portrait. I have the new XS and the camera is legit! No editing has been done to these photos:

For those of you who may be wondering; sweater is Zara. Earrings are by Sierra Winter jewelry The Scout + Bluestem . Use stylescout10 to get 10% off your purchase!

And here is the video tutorial which is about 17 min. long. But we literally go step by step, and you can get some great tips on how to apply makeup as well as achieve this entire look

Here is what Blair Used:

Foundation: Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation #4 & #7

Beauty Blender Re-Dew to set the makeup

Highlighter: Becca Cosmetics Shimmering skin perfector liquid in Opal & Bobbi Brown: Powder Highlighter in Afternoon glow

Contour/Bronze: Chanel: Soleil Tan De Chanel, Stila: Bronze Highlighter as a powder bronzer,

Blush: Nars Cream Blush in G-Spot, Bare Minerals Strike a Rose, Tom Ford: Frantic Pink

One thing missing in the video is the eyelashes she added. She used invidual Eyelashes by Ardell with Duo glue in black, placed just at the edges of the eyes.

So far I have already purchased the lip colors; and next on my list are for sure the YSL concealer and the Dior Brow Styler. It was fun to try out some new products I had never used before!
