Shoe Review Fall 2018

Fall shoes are always my favorite! This season there is a lot of newness, and unique styles to choose from. Here are a few must haves for the season

Cowboy boots seem to be the biggest emerging trend in shoes this season. We have seen them before, and we will see them again. I feel like this is a trend that never really goes away completely. But instead of wearing them with a boho inspired piece; we are seeing cowboy boots styled with more sophisticated dresses and skirts.

White shoes continue to be shown into the fall. I do actually like this trend; but not sure I would spend a lot of money on a white shoe. I have seen some great white mules, booties and slingbacks this season. Pair these with some cropped plaid pants and a blouse for Fall. image via

Is Leopard a trend, or is it classic to you? I feel like leopard never really goes out of style; but this season we are really seeing it EVERYWHERE. I like the idea of a leopard bootie, or a cool mule as an updated leopard shoe.

Stylish sneakers will be a wardrobe staple this season. The latest trend is the super bulky; 80’s looking dad tennis shoe. That’s not really my speed. I will continue wearing my Golden Goose, and am also thinking about investing in a new pair of Nike Air Max which is also a good knock around tennis shoe. I really do love sneakers with dresses and skirts; it is a good way to mix up your tennis shoes and dress down those pieces that don’t get enough wear in your closet.

When it comes to ankle boots, or booties, pointy toes and skinnier heels are back. These are an easy to wear style with jeans and dresses, as well as all the cropped flares we are seeing this season. PLEASE donate or store your open toe, chunky heel booties, this trend is past its prime, and there are so many great new booties this season that you can invest in!

Pointy toes are everywhere, both in flats and heels. And slingbacks are also back in a big way! I never tire of this classic style.
