Happy Monday friends. Another week just flew by. I am not complaining though; the faster these weeks go by the closer we are to spring!
The kids went back to school, finally!!! After a few weeks of sickness and cold, I decided to end the week on a high note. So on Friday, I got my nails done, did a little shopping, worked out with Jon and then we had an impromptu date night.
I visited Gina at Within Apothecary for a new night cream and lip balm. She then gifted me with this Glow Powder which I can’t wait to use and see the results. It has probiotics, superfoods and antioxidants to help you glow from the inside out. I put a little in water this morning and it was great! It has a slight berry taste; totally palatable.
I hit up Dear Society which is always a treat. I happened to be there when one of the owners was walking in the door with new vintage finds. This vintage fur bomber came home with me; and it was a steal. I love how fair the DS girls price their vintage pieces.
I strongly debated this camel coat; the sleeves were just about an inch too short. But I loved the fit and length of it.
Friday night we went to Cafe Provence which is always a favorite. Their butter lettuce goat cheese salad, Chicken with Morel Mushroom sauce and Banana Crepes are HEAVEN.
Saturday I was chosen to be a “model” for training on fillers at Bare Med Spa. I was a little nervous, but I think I am going to like the end result. Right now I am just swollen and bruised a bit, so it is hard to tell! I will let you all know in a few days 🙂
We went with our kids to a friends house on Saturday night to watch the Chiefs game. A sad loss for KC, I guess there is always next year!
Sunday a few friends and I did a private yoga class with Mara Olney at Element Studio in Brookside. She is LOVELY and amazing. I highly recommend her for a private session. She is one of the best instructors I have taken from in KC.
Afterwards we hit up the Filling Station on Gillham/McGee in Hyde Park for brunch. They have incredible bowls and juices to choose from. If you want healthy, they have it. And of course their coffee is top notch.
I had the Everyday bowl with quinoa, Kefir, Spiced Honey, Bananas, Blueberries and Peanut Butter. It was hearty and delicious. The other girls got a more savory bowl that had quinoa, avocado, egg, radishes and pickled onions.
The beet juice I had was amazing! It had lime, orange, apple and beets. Definitely on the sweeter side, but very good.
For being cold and gloomy, I would say we made the most of it. Have a great week everyone!
