Melanie’s Favorite Things + Luxe items

This will be the last of my gift guides for this season! Here are a few of my favorite things (and items on my wish list!)

I have always loved all things Bottega Veneta. Since a new designer took over, the collection is BEYOND. I got my first bag 12 years ago (from Jon, on my 30th birthday) and last year this green pouch bag was my Mother’s Day/Anniversary/Birthday gift. I would love to add further to my collection with their new Pouch 20, which has a crossbody strap. Bottega bags are an investment, but I can tell you, they are truly worth the $$$. I have invested in a lot of bags over the years, and these are by far the best leather, handmade, with incredible quality.

I love this jacket SO much I have it in 2 colors! I recently got the cream one for our Colorado trip. Under $150, I am wearing a small

The lululemon Align Pant is my #1 workout pant. They are the BEST! This season they are doing them with a velvet stripe down the side. I saw these in person and they are amazing. These are HIGH on my wish list! $118 also comes in black!

I started collecting Roxanne Assoulin bracelets. And I am LOVING her new mixed metals collection! Most are under $80

This is hands down my favorite beauty product I have purchased recently. Put this on after your moisturizer, it is both a primer and it gives your skin a dewy glow! $55

This lip balm makes a great stocking stuffer. It is super moisturizing, and it comes in a few great tints. I wear the color Pulse, but Rush is good too! $18

I am really a sucker for pajamas. I like the nice ones 🙂 Because I will wear pajamas for a decade before I toss them! How cute are these tiger print?

These tennis shoes are nowhere to be found in my size, and I want them SOOO bad! but if you are lucky enough to be small or over a size 8.5, here you go! $150

These are my new favorite jeans. They are so similar to my Mother jeans a lot of you ask about that are no longer made! I am so glad I found these, because they are great for everyday! I wear a size 26 (they will stretch) $208

A camel coat has been high on my list for years, I just haven’t found the right one YET. BUT, I do love the style of this one, which is under $200 (wool blend)

The new Hexagonal Ray Bans are hot! And they are under $150

This is what I would consider to be my “scent”; it is very unique and you can’t find it everywhere. Anything from Byredo is delicious, but Mojave Ghost is definitely my favorite! What it is: A woody, aromatic perfume that pays homage to the bewitching Mojave Ghost flower. starts at $175

A few splurge items!

I tried these See by Chloe boots on in Colorado; not only are they as comfy as a tennis shoe, they are SO warm

I have been obsessed with these boots since they came out this fall. They are GORGEOUS on!

these Gucci pouches make such a cute clutch; and they are under $700 (for Gucci, that’s not terrible!) Black Suede, and Tan Leather (under $600)

I love a good Sherpa jacket, I have been living in mine! I love the details on This Rag and Bone one :

I think Fine Jewelry is the best gift, because it is definitely something most women would not buy for themselves! I wear my custom made dainty choker length necklace from Glitter’s everyday, and I don’t take it off. I told them what I wanted and they made it for me! It is a gold chain, with 5 diamonds that dangle, for under $1000. The girls at Glitter’s in Leawood can make one for you too!

My emerald “M” is also one of the pieces I don’t take off, It is under $600 for real gold and real emerald stones. Tula Jewelry studio is a California based brand, and I have loved getting to know the designer over the past few months! She makes other really great pieces!
