I was first introduced to Barton Perreira sunglasses when they opened their store in Kansas City 3 years ago. Ever since then, I have been a huge fan. If you see me wearing sunglasses, they are always BP’s!
I love that their sunglasses are designed in house, and that they are not mass produced. You can only find them in Barton Perreira stores or in high end establishments like Barney’s, Saks 5th Avenue and Neiman’s. They are understated and not too flashy. They also have a huge celebrity following; Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Lady Gaga, Chloe Sevigny, J.Lo, Sandra Bullock, and Angelina Jolie are just a few of their high profile fans. Once you wear BP’s it is hard to wear anything else, they are just so well made!
I introduced some of my Kansas City fashion/blogging friends to the brand this week at a small event in store. The girls got a lesson in quality, construction and design from store owner Mike. Not to mention, how important it is to be fitted for sunglasses. Most of the time they don’t sit correctly on your face. The team at BP will adjust them so that they fit perfectly! They also understand face shape and what will look right on you! It is kind of like getting fitted for a bra, but way more fun 🙂
We had so much fun trying on all the styles. It was interesting to see what everyone gravitated towards! The girls all picked their perfect pair 🙂
I went with my favorite “Corso”, which I had just recently lost in Hawaii. These might be my favorite pair of BP”s yet! super lightweight and an easy everyday pair to wear. This is me cracking up when they handed me over a new pair. I promise I will never wear these in the ocean again!
Amy went with the “Aloha”; a clean, sleek black frame
Shanley picked the “Olina” in tortoise with heroine chic lenses. This is a great pair that can be dressed up or down
Becca chose the “Olina” in black. I love this dramatic shape!
Gwen went with the “Patchett” in tortoise. Timeless but super chic
