For the love of Neutrals

Over the last few years I have really tried to simplify my wardrobe. I no longer impulse buy, I try to avoid super trendy pieces, and I am making an effort to fill my closet with only things I really love. I was taking a look at my closet this week (which is organized by color), and I noticed just how many cream and white tops I have. These are definitely something I love and will continue to add and switch out in my closet. For some reason I am just drawn to soft neutrals, pieces that I can easily mix and match with other colors, vibrant accessories, or throw on with shoes that have a pop of color.

You have all asked for me to share a mix of high vs. low items so that is my goal for this year! This outfit is a great mix of high/low pieces. I found this blouse at Lady Bye when I was in KC last week and instantly fell in love. I knew I would be able to wear it so many different ways all year long. It has beautiful sleeve details, it is slightly cropped and a little boxy which pairs great with all the high waisted denim right now. It is also $75 which makes it not super inexpensive, but worth it because of the pretty feminine and unique details. You can shop it HERE. I am wearing a small.

The investment here is the jeans. I bought these at Beehive in Manhattan Beach when we first moved here, and I can’t stop wearing them. They are Mother brand, high rise, slightly cropped, button fly, distressed. They remind me of a great pair of vintage Levi’s. They were $$ but I feel like the cost per wear makes them totally worth it. They are sold out almost everywhere, but I found them online and on sale! Get them before they are gone! shop HERE (and size down).

The “low” priced items here are the accessories! This amazing velvet bag is $59 (and the quality is great, also has a cross body strap). They will be restocked at the store soon! The shoes were $70 but are now half off. I couldn’t believe how comfortable and how good the quality of these are. They are Chinese Laundry X Kristin Cavalleri. I wore them out 2 times when I was in KC and they really passed the test! Also, get them before they are gone. You can contact Lady Bye to shop/order. I took my true size in the shoes.
