Baldwin: Transitional

This time of year is TOUGH. I sometimes feel in a rut in January; I am over the holiday apparel and I am just so ready to buy spring! But now is the time to get those transitional pieces you can wear now as well as into the warmer months.

The new Baldwin collection is literally everything I want in my closet. It is a collection of simple, understated pieces that are of high quality fabrics with a perfected fit. I find myself gravitating less towards trend and more towards sophisticated classic clothing. Baldwin nailed it with these pieces.

Joni at the Country Club Plaza Standard Style store pulled some looks (which is fun, since I never have someone personal shop for me!). She talked me into the wide leg “Chloe” pants which I never thought I would like, but they were actually REALLY great on and super comfortable. Make sure to size down, as they do stretch.

She paired it with this ribbed short sleeve “sabina” top which is butter soft. I like it on its own, or layered under a blazer or a leather jacket.

I could not be more in love with this dress. It is ribbed, stretchy and SO soft. It’s sexy without trying to hard, and it shows off curves in a good way! It is black ribbed, but has navy trim on the neck and sleeves. I would wear this baby all day long…

Jeans + Tees is a Baldwin staple. The Lola high rise is great for all of you who love that straighter leg, high rise with slight distressing. I paired it with their curved hem tank in white (which is the perfect tee!) and my own leather jacket.

You can shop the Baldwin collection in Kansas City at their Baldwin + Standard Style stores on the Country Club Plaza or Town Center. As well as online at Baldwin.co
